We continue to choose the road less traveled. Our stories started in New York and Michigan. We took an detour to New Jersey, and had a most excellent adventure to Ethiopia. In July, 2013 we moved our family from Detroit to Texas. People can say a lot about us, but they can't accuse us of being boring....

happy news
Mom's doctor told her this morning that I will be able to visit her during the 12 day treatment because its not as strong of a chemo. However, the same rules for the Friday treatments is still in place. We will be carefuly still. Her doctor is actually more conservative than the OB - I figured we would go by the most conservative answers. So she's happy we can still see each other for the next few weeks.

Don’t loose hope…
As a Christian, where do I find hope? Hope grows out of my Easter faith. Easter teaches us that there is
• no despair so dark,
• no moral failure so grievous,
• no thundercloud so threatening,
• no disappointment so great,
• no future so bleak,
• no news so grim,
• no life in such peril,
that our good and gracious God cannot remedy through His power to heal, comfort, restore, reconcile, and redeem. Such is the reason that God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ. He wants us to live and love. As His children, we are reminded that Jesus had a physical body like ours. “Since the children [of God] have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil” (Heb. 2:14 NIV).Taken from A Reason for Hope by Michael S.
