Nate's Home!

We survived our first night at home.

He's still getting used to sleeping by himself, so sometimes we have to take turns holding him to get him to sleep. At least now we're in a bigger space and can take turns so we get some sleep.

Nate seems to be doing pretty well. He has his first doctor's appointment tomorrow. We're still trying to figure out how to get the breastfeeding going, but in the meantime, he's getting some formula so that he doesn't get sick. We're a little worried about one of his hearing tests because one ear didn't pass in the hospital. It could just be he was fussy, and now he's getting more used to life outside the womb, so hopefully that won't be a problem.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers that came our way. It certainly is a miracle, and now the fun begins!

Been waiting for the picture. He's beautiful. What a nice family. Good luck with the feeding. I really enjoyed it, but don't stress over it if breast feeding doesn't work. It did take a week or two to know for sure the baby was o.k. with it and that I'd survive! Then, it was a blessing (and an excuse to not do other work!). Love and blessings, Skip and Sue

I forget all the details when my children were babies.
With Leslie I did not work, but I do remember she kept me busy. When Douglas was 6 weeks old we moved to San Marcos and I had to go to work shortly after, but I was blessed with good baby sitters and a part time maid, but when Laurie came along I started college when she was 6 weeks old. It took me 6 years to get my degree, and I still do not see how in the world I managed with three small children.

Leslie is still busy with Laruen and she is now one and a half years old, but she is now so adorable. Babies are so wonderful and it is such fun to see them develope.
