First full day in Addis Ababa

So I'm dong a little journal as its not easy connecting in our room - right now we are in the dining area and have a good connection.  So good - thanks to some friends (Laurel and Angela - you are such Life savers) - we were able to reach my dad and Skype with him and Nate.

Ok - we MET, Held and kissed Sami!  It was the best day in many years - just like the day Nate was born!  Holding our new son - he's amazing.  He was sound asleep when we arrived and they woke him up - almost ha him sleeping in my arms - but they wanted us to see him do a little leg kick dance to music.  He's just adorable.  He LOVES watching TV already - perfect for his brother.  Loves the older kids and music - yeah!  The Backus clan will be completed!

anyhow - once the legal stuff is done we can posts the videos and picture.  He's great.

Its a LONG trip - I will post and share more about the flights and today - its been amazing.

Probably going to dinner soon with the other families - so we'll see.
Keep us in your prayers - tomorrow we will be traveling north with another couple - so that will be interesting to see the country side.  Addis Ababa is amazing - just very different here in Africa - weird to think we are really here
